Christian Wienker

Site Selection & Retail Leasing Specialist

Hailing from the largest metropolis in the pacific northwest, Christian’s path from Seattle to sunny Florida and from banking to real estate has been a fascinating road, paved with unique challenges, rich experiences and rare opportunities.

After graduating from Washington State University with a B.A. in Finance, Christian put his degree to work in the loan office of a large regional bank where he gained valuable insight into the workings of the financial industry, especially how the information displayed in a financial statement can best be presented to maximize its effect.

He later relocated to Los Angeles, bringing his accounting and organizational skills to the entertainment industry, working for New Line Cinema, a position that required touring five continents, as his responsibilities were expanded to include all facets of live and televised shows, and location approval.

After traveling for several years, Christian settled back into Los Angeles, where he co-founded BoxWrench Media, a production company that created instructional media for client companies, which required a variety of locations and where he gained the unique experience of selecting the right locations best suited for his clients media productions. This is where he also honed his negotiating skills, while leveraging his business and exceptional interpersonal skills to develop relationships with client companies in the U.S., Canada and Australia.

Building on his success with BoxWrench Media, Christian established himself as an in-demand location manager in the film and television industry. He held this coveted position for 15 years, ten of which, were on hit TV shows “Monk” and “The Mentalist”, until relocating to Florida in the summer of 2015.

His responsibilities as location manager over that decade and a half entailed a complete understanding of the changing location needs for every show, scouting for the right locations, and negotiating to secure the rights to use each location, giving Christian a highly developed skill set by which he fully understands his clients needs and using that information to find the right location for his clients.

This unique skill set parallels those he draws upon on behalf of his commercial real estate clients, and his methodology is analogous to the real estate acquisition processes.  When Christian, his wife and stepson relocated to Orlando to join the family commercial real estate business, it was clear that every road he traveled was intended to lead him right here.
